Assistant Manager - Accounts & Taxation
About the Role
Maxim Agri (Pvt) Ltd is hiring an Assistant Manager - Accounts & Taxation in Lahore to supervise general accounting, manage federal and provincial tax compliance, and execute SAP Business One reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Ensure timely submission of federal and provincial sales tax returns, income tax returns, and withholding statements via FBR IRIS.
- Review payables, supplier invoices, and vendor contracts for statutory tax deduction compliance and policy adherence.
- Conduct physical inventory audits, update the Fixed Asset Register, and manage corporate insurance underwriting.
- Liaise with external tax consultants, manage tax audits, and respond to regulatory show-cause notices.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- CA Inter, ACCA, CMA, or Master's in Accounting & Finance.
- 3 to 5 years of verified experience in corporate accounts and taxation within manufacturing or agribusiness.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One ERP; familiarity with FBR IRIS and e-invoicing is a strong plus.
- Sound knowledge of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990, and provincial sales tax legislations (PRA, SRB).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience handling corporate tax audits in agribusiness or FMCG manufacturing.
