Assistant Manager - Converting (Corrugation)
About the Role
Roshan Packages Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager Converting (Corrugation) at its plant in Lahore. The position leads converting operations, die-cutting, folding/gluing, machinery optimization, and product quality for corrugated packaging manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily converting operations across flexo folder-gluers, die-cutters, and stitching machines to achieve volume targets.
- Implement rigorous quality inspections to ensure corrugated boxes meet client burst strength, edge crush, and print specs.
- Optimize production scheduling and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize machine downtime and scrap wastage.
- Train and supervise machine operators, helpers, and floor supervisors in technical workflows and workplace safety.
- Coordinate with raw material corrugator lines and logistics teams to maintain smooth production flow and on-time dispatches.
- Enforce 5S, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen/Lean) on the shop floor.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, or DAE with substantial experience.
- 5–8 years of hands-on production leadership experience in a corrugated box converting or modern packaging manufacturing plant.
- In-depth technical knowledge of flexographic printing, rotary die-cutting, folder-gluers, and paper testing parameters.
- Strong leadership, shop-floor workforce management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in production ERP modules and MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-speed automated European or Taiwanese corrugation converting equipment.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt credential.
