About the Role
Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan is recruiting an ambitious Assistant Manager Sales to manage distribution and retail operations in Islamabad. The role oversees territory sales performance, distributor management, and market execution for market-leading consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive primary and secondary sales targets across assigned distribution networks and retail territories in Islamabad.
- Lead, coach, and motivate distributor sales teams, order bookers, and merchandising personnel.
- Monitor retail coverage, product availability, shelf space share, and execution of point-of-sale merchandising.
- Cultivate enduring business relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and modern trade accounts.
- Analyze market trends, competitor trade promotions, and field insights to recommend actionable revenue-building strategies.
- Ensure disciplined credit control, stock rotation, and timely claim settlement across all distribution nodes.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (BBA/BS) or Master's (MBA) in Marketing, Sales, or related field from an accredited university.
- 4–5 years of proven sales and territory management experience in a leading multi-category FMCG company.
- Strong knowledge of retail distribution channels, Route-to-Market (RTM) models, and distributor operations in Northern Pakistan.
- High commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and data-driven analytical skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to engage in extensive market coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience managing personal care and home care product portfolios.
- Proven track record of expanding retail numeric and weighted distribution reach.
