Assistant Professor - Law (Company Law & LSM)
About the Role
SZABIST University Karachi Campus is hiring an Assistant Professor of Law to teach Legal System of Pakistan (LSM) and Company Law, conduct academic legal research, and mentor LLB candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver rigorous undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Company Law, Corporate Governance, and Pakistan Legal System.
- Supervise student legal research dissertations, moot court competitions, and clinical legal education programs.
- Formulate course outlines, case studies, and assessment rubrics in full alignment with HEC and Pakistan Bar Council criteria.
- Publish original scholarly legal research in HEC-recognized law journals.
- Participate actively in curriculum development, departmental academic boards, and student legal clinics.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- LLM from a foreign or HEC-recognized university with at least 5 years experience, OR LLB with 10+ years academic/professional experience.
- Demonstrated subject-matter mastery in Company Law and Legal System of Pakistan (LSM).
- Suspension of legal practice license upon joining is mandatory in accordance with university faculty guidelines.
- Track record of high-quality pedagogical delivery and scholarly legal research.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Law or substantial published research in corporate law or commercial arbitration.
