About the Role
Engro Energy is hiring a Deputy Manager Environment for Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) at Thar Site to spearhead environmental management, ESG disclosures, carbon emissions tracking, and mine rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ESG reporting, sustainability frameworks, and performance audits aligned with GRI and IFRS S1/S2 standards.
- Drive climate mitigation initiatives, greenhouse gas emissions tracking, carbon credits, and energy efficiency programs.
- Oversee open-pit mine rehabilitation, bio-saline agriculture projects, biodiversity conservation, and water stewardship.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) regulations and international IFC standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant professional environmental and sustainability management experience in industrial/energy setups.
- Expertise in ESG frameworks, IFRS Sustainability Standards, and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting.
- Willingness to be stationed at Thar Coal Block II site with standard rotational camp facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications in Lead Auditing (ISO 14001) or carbon footprint accounting.
