Farm Manager
About the Role
The Urban Unit, under the Planning and Development Board, is hiring a Farm Manager on a contract basis. The role involves managing farm operations, coordinating with experts, and maintaining records. Requires a Bachelor's degree in agriculture-related fields and 3 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare periodic progress reports, work plans, inventories, and other documentation as required.
- Assist in conducting events, stakeholder consultations, and workshops.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in farm management, crop production, Climate Smart Agriculture, demonstration farms, or agricultural development projects.
- Age limit: 18 to 50 years.
- Both male and female candidates are eligible.
- Domicile is required for this position.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of farm machinery, equipment, irrigation systems, and project assets.
- Maintain records of crop production, farm inputs, labor, machinery use, yields, and farm expenditures.
- Coordinate with project experts, consultants, researchers, extension staff, and farmers during field activities and demonstrations.
- Bachelor's degree (16 years of education) in Agriculture, Seed Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Agricultural Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
