Manager Commercial (Solar & Renewable Energy)
About the Role
Zonergy Corporation Limited is hiring a Manager Commercial (Solar / Renewable Energy) in Islamabad. The role leads commercial contract negotiations, cost engineering, strategic sourcing, and supply-chain operations for utility-scale and commercial/industrial (C&I) solar power projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management, procurement, and contract negotiations for utility-scale and rooftop C&I solar PV projects.
- Develop comprehensive cost models, equipment estimations (modules, inverters, racking), and financial budgets for solar bids.
- Oversee international strategic sourcing from Tier-1 global solar manufacturers, negotiating Incoterms, warranties, and prices.
- Manage import logistics, letters of credit (LC), customs clearances, and port handling for project shipments.
- Draft, review, and finalize EPC contracts, equipment supply agreements, and subcontractor terms with legal counsel.
- Utilize SAP ERP to monitor procurement schedules, vendor purchase orders, and cost variance analytics.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- 3–6 years of commercial, procurement, or cost engineering experience in the solar energy or power EPC sector.
- Deep understanding of solar PV balance of systems (BOS), Tier-1 PV modules, string/central inverters, and lithium storage systems.
- Strong financial modeling skills, international trade documentation knowledge, and mastery of SAP ERP.
- Exceptional commercial negotiation and cross-cultural communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience managing commercial procurement for 50MW+ utility solar or large industrial microgrid projects.
- Professional procurement certifications (CSCP, CPSM).
