Network Security Engineer
About the Role
Ronin Pakistan is looking for a skilled Network Security Engineer in Karachi to configure next-generation firewalls, secure corporate LAN/WAN infrastructure, and defend enterprise systems against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and monitor Fortinet / Palo Alto firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN tunnels.
- Implement endpoint security protocols, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM tools.
- Perform periodic network vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and access control audits.
- Troubleshoot network anomalies, maintain 99.9% uptime across distribution hubs, and execute data backups.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Security, or related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of solid hands-on experience in corporate network architecture and enterprise cybersecurity.
- Proven expertise in firewall administration (Fortinet, Sophos, or Cisco) and VLAN subnet routing.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP Security, CEH, or Fortinet NSE) are highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience configuring cloud networking environments (AWS/Azure) and secure remote access policies.
