Officer - Industrial Relations & Labour Compliance
About the Role
Engro Energy is hiring an Officer - Industrial Relations for the Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) at Thar Block II site to govern labor relations, workplace harmony, and statutory labor law compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage on-site industrial relations, trade union dialogue, collective bargaining, and contractor workforce affairs.
- Ensure airtight compliance with Sindh Industrial Relations Act, Factories Act, and statutory labor regulations.
- Investigate employee workplace grievances, facilitate fair inquiry hearings, and manage disciplinary procedures.
- Maintain proactive liaison with regional labor directorates, labor inspectors, and local community leaders in Thar.
- Implement employee engagement welfare programs and health & safety compliance initiatives on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- BBA, B.Com, LLB, or Master's degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Law.
- 5 to 7 years of extensive on-site Industrial Relations (IR) and labor affairs management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Pakistani and provincial labor legislations, EOBI, SESSI, and statutory dispute protocols.
- Proven capability in handling labor disputes, grievance resolutions, and high-stakes negotiation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior IR experience in large-scale mining, oil & gas, energy infrastructure, or heavy industrial construction sites.
