About the Role
Adamjee Insurance Company Limited is seeking an energetic Officer Underwriting for its Commercial Department in Islamabad to process commercial risks, marine underwriting, and policy endorsements within a high-growth financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process commercial insurance policies, coverage extensions, endorsements, and risk renewal documentation.
- Evaluate risk parameters and coordinate policy approvals with senior underwriters in adherence to established SOPs.
- Handle policy issuance and document preparation for Marine, Fire, and Miscellaneous commercial insurance classes.
- Maintain comprehensive digital records and audit-ready underwriting files on core insurance ERP systems.
- Provide responsive underwriting support to corporate branch sales teams to accelerate business turnaround.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Insurance, Finance, or Actuarial Sciences.
- 1 to 2 years of proven operational experience in commercial underwriting or general insurance operations.
- Familiarity with Fire, Marine Cargo, and Engineering insurance policy structures.
- Good command of insurance ERP applications, spreadsheet modeling, and business correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward Chartered Insurance Institute (CII / ACII) certifications.
