About the Role
PITB is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build high-scale e-governance systems, citizen identity portals, and cloud data platforms for provincial public administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain citizen-facing public portals serving millions of Punjab residents.
- Build secure, audited RESTful services using Node.js / Python and relational databases.
- Collaborate with government department heads to digitize departmental workflows and record management.
- Ensure enterprise-grade security and vulnerability compliance across government data center deployments.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
- 3–6 years of experience building modern web applications and scalable database backends.
- Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and SQL database management.
- Experience with Docker, Linux system administration, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on large-scale public sector or civic-tech initiatives.
