About the Role

PITB is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build high-scale e-governance systems, citizen identity portals, and cloud data platforms for provincial public administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain citizen-facing public portals serving millions of Punjab residents.
  • Build secure, audited RESTful services using Node.js / Python and relational databases.
  • Collaborate with government department heads to digitize departmental workflows and record management.
  • Ensure enterprise-grade security and vulnerability compliance across government data center deployments.

Qualifications & Skills

Basic Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
  • 3–6 years of experience building modern web applications and scalable database backends.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and SQL database management.
  • Experience with Docker, Linux system administration, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on large-scale public sector or civic-tech initiatives.
