About the Role

Sector Specialist Agriculture PPS-10 at Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Pakistan. Contract, 1 vacancy, deadline Sep 14, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic inputs to the Member (Food Security and Agriculture) across all Planning Commission functions, including formulating long-term development plans and strategic policies to achieve socioeconomic growth, promoting equitable and sustainable development, supporting inclusive development, bringing innovations, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of public investments in the agriculture sector.
  • Assist the notified forums, committees, and authorities in appraisal and approval of projects and programs.
  • This is a contract position at grade PPS-10.

Qualifications & Skills

Basic Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant agriculture discipline, such as Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Entomology, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Agricultural Engineering, or related fields.
  • The listed acceptable degrees include BS Agriculture in various specializations, BSc (Hons) Agriculture, MSc (Hons) in relevant subjects, MPhil in Agricultural Engineering or Plant Pathology, and other specified qualifications.
