Key Responsibilities
- Assist in approval of projects in line with the requirements of bilateral understandings between China and Pakistan and the rules and regulations of the Government of Pakistan, by giving expert advice on the structuring and appraisal of energy projects.
- Prepare progress reports on energy projects.
- The position is at grade PPS-10.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience is required.
- The maximum age limit is 50 years.
- Liaise with public, private and Chinese counterparts for energy-related CPEC projects in an efficient and effective manner in the light of the long term plan, and mature, prioritize and facilitate implementation consistent with best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of a project lifecycle, including preparation of initial project investment proposals, preparation of feasibility studies, and appointment of consultants or advisors for project preparation feasibility studies where required.
- Assist in the identification and management of any risks relating to energy projects.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Electrical Engineering is an accepted qualification.
- MPhil in Thermal Power Engineering is an accepted qualification.
- Master of Engineering in Mining Engineering is an accepted qualification.
