Site & Charging Engineer
About the Role
Transsion Tecno Motors is hiring a Site & Charging Engineer in Karachi to lead electric vehicle (EV) charging station infrastructure deployments. The role executes site feasibility surveys, electrical engineering designs, installation supervision, and safety commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical surveys of client sites, assessing electrical load capacity, distribution boards (DBs), cable routing, and safety protections.
- Design turnkey electrical setups for AC and DC fast EV charging points, detailing wiring, breaker sizing, and surge protection.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQ), material specifications, and installation cost estimations.
- Supervise electrical contractors during civil works, cable pulling, panel installations, and charger mountings.
- Conduct electrical testing, grounding verification, and commissioning of EV charging stations in accordance with IEC standards.
- Willingness to travel periodically across regional centers including Lahore and Islamabad/Rawalpindi for site executions.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- B.E. / B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 3–5 years of practical experience in low-voltage electrical installations, building services, solar PV setups, or EV charging infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical schematics and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Sound understanding of circuit breakers, distribution boards, earthing systems, and Pakistani electrical safety codes.
- Valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial EV charging stations (Type 2, CCS2) or smart charging software.
- Proven track record managing electrical contractor teams.
