Fashion Designer - Men's Eastern Wear
About the Role
Royal Tag is hiring a creative Fashion Designer (Eastern Wear) in Lahore to design and develop premium men's eastern apparel collections including shalwar kameez, kurtas, and waistcoats. The designer creates innovative silhouettes, selects fabrics, and leads sample development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, sketch, and develop premium menswear eastern collections including festive kurtas, shalwar kameez, and waistcoats.
- Conduct in-depth trend research on traditional silhouettes, modern cuts, embroidery placements, and color schemes.
- Prepare detailed technical design packs (Tech Packs) with precise garment specs for pattern makers and production lines.
- Select and source seasonal fabrics, buttons, embroidery threads, and accessory trims with merchandising teams.
- Supervise initial sample cutting, garment fittings, and make necessary pattern revisions for perfect tailoring.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on seasonal campaign photoshoots and visual merchandising guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or Apparel Design from an accredited design university (PIFD, STEP, NCA).
- 3–5 years of dedicated design experience specializing in men's eastern apparel and ethnic wear.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and digital fashion illustration suites.
- Deep understanding of eastern garment construction, tailoring aesthetics, and embroidery techniques.
- Strong commercial design sensibility with keen awareness of modern retail consumer preferences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior portfolio experience with prominent Pakistani menswear retail brands.
- Knowledge of woven fabric finishes and embroidery digitizing software.
