Marketing Merchandiser - Garment Division
About the Role
Artistic Fabric Mills is hiring an energetic Marketing Merchandiser for its Garment Division in Karachi. The position manages end-to-end merchandising operations, order tracking, and production coordination from initial order placement through final international shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts from order inquiry, costing, and sampling through bulk manufacturing and timely dispatch.
- Coordinate proactively with internal departments including fabric procurement, cutting, sewing, washing, and quality assurance.
- Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars to ensure strict adherence to buyer deadlines and delivery milestones.
- Liaise with international buyers and buying houses, providing real-time updates regarding production status and approvals.
- Handle raw material sourcing, trims approvals, lab dip matching, and pre-production sample clearances.
- Review shipping documentation, packing lists, and export clearances with the supply chain and commercial teams.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Merchandising, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years of hands-on merchandising experience in woven garment/denim apparel manufacturing.
- Sound technical understanding of garment construction, washing effects, tech packs, and fabric characteristics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-pressure deadlines with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and business correspondence in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling export accounts for major European and North American denim brands.
- Familiarity with enterprise ERP systems used in textile manufacturing.
